Hi, I'm Sami jo and I specialize in teaching piano to complete beginners through intermediate students.  Within the Northern section of San Francisco,  I can travel to your home to teach in person. My goal is to make music so Interesting and Understandable, kids are inspired to play everyday! 

I focus on teaching music literacy. Alongside favorite classical pieces, I include beginner blues and jazz and even pop songs to makes scales and chords come alive. We'll play games to sneak in lots of music theory, play duets to model good form & rhythm, and perform recitals for each other twice a year to show off everyone's hard work.

I believe kids (and adults too!) learn best when they're having fun!
